Top 5 Funny Things Guinea Pigs Do 😄😂

     Guinea pigs are really hilarious creatures. They do a lot of funny things, especially when they're young. From popcorning to jumping up on huts, you'll surely have a laugh when you see a guinea pig do these 5 things. 

    1.     Popcorning. Popcorning is when guinea pigs jump up and down. If you've never seen a guinea pig do this, you really should! It's hilarious! Younger guinea pigs often do this, and it's a gesture made to show excitement and happiness. Our guinea pigs do this when they get more hay in the mornings!     2. Sitting on huts. If you have huts on which your piggies can sit on, like this one from Amazon, a lot of times they climb up the stairs and sit atop it. Sometimes it's really funny to open up the cage top in the morning and see your guinea pig looking up at you from above! 

    3. Eating. Yeah, this is kind of strange, but sometimes when a guinea pig is eating it looks funny! Sometimes that piece of lettuce is too long for them and they start chewing really fast. Pebby also tends to fluff up while eating (no one knows why). Trixie will eat half a carrot, drop it, and go eat another one. 

    4. Cleaning themselves. Did you know that guinea pigs clean themselves? If you've ever watched them do this (after eating or using the bathroom) it's pretty hilarious! Sometimes they itch themselves. Sometimes it looks like they're wiping their nose. Sometimes they bend over forwards and itch their stomachs.     5. Talking. Guinea pigs talk to themselves and to other piggies! Chutting, a common piggie sound, is used when a guinea pig is feeling relaxed and happy. Often, a guinea pig says this to themselves. Watching your guinea pig stroll around the cage making this noise is super cute and could even bring out some giggles!
