Oreo And The Water Problem

    Did you know that Oreo is not a big fan of water? Silly, right? Oreo doesn't like to drink from her water bottle. She doesn't drink from her water bowl. Instead, she likes to sit in it! Water is an important part of life, and all guinea pigs need it. So the question was, how do you get Oreo to drink enough water to keep her healthy? 

    

    There are other guinea pigs like Oreo, who don't drink water for certain reasons. It might be because they don't like the feel of their water bottle. It might be because they don't know how to drink from it. It could be because of some other reasons. But, guinea pigs still need enough water to survive. 

    If you have guinea pigs who don't like to drink water, there are a few things you could try: 

• Replacing the bottle with a new one
• Putting a water bowl instead of a bottle (make sure the bowl is heavy so your piggie can't topple it over)
• Washing their fruits and vegetables before giving it to them
• Feeding them vegetables and fruits with a high water content (cucumber, melons, etc.) 

    In Oreo's case, we first tried replacing the water bottle. 

    But she still refused to drink from it. 

    After that, we put water in a small bowl for her. But again, instead of drinking the water, she would sit in the bowl and get all wet 😅

    Finally, every time Oreo would get her meals, my grandparents would first wash it with lots of water. This worked and Oreo was really happy :)
