Piggie Fun Fact #9: Do Guinea Pigs Teeth Grow Throughout Their Lives?

     Guinea pigs have teeth very similar to ours, except there is one difference. As with other rodents, guinea pigs' front top and front bottom teeth grow continuously throughout their lives. To make sure their teeth don't grow too long, you need to get guinea pigs chew toys made of wood and cardboard. Make sure they don't have any flavors or are flavored with only natural flavors. Don't buy salt or sugar chews, guinea pigs shouldn't be eating salt. So make sure your guinea pigs stay healthy and happy with chew toys and treats!
