Guinea Pig Personality Changes

As you might know already, Trixie used to be a very calm, intelligent and shy guinea pig, who was skittish and slightly aggressive. Pebbles was a grumpy, sweet piggie, who would not like to be petted, but if you did pet her, she wouldn't mind. Now, though, after about a year and a half of having them, their personality has changed immensely.

Trixie is now very energetic, not as aggressive, and loves to play. She is curious, still very intelligent, and a little skittish still as well. In the cage, she is the life of the party, brave, and likes to relax. Outside the cage, she is the same as ever, just following Pebby everywhere, nervous and scared. But Trixie has adapted to the human life, and now doesn't even run away as I approach the cage. She is smart, and knows I won't hurt her.

Pebbles, on the other hand, is now really shy, extra grumpy, and does not like human attention. She squeals a lot if I touch her or if Trixie does. Pebby sometimes looks sad. But she is still super excited when hay comes, and popcorns every once in a while, while Trixie doesn't ever popcorn anymore. Outside the cage, however, Pebby will bravely walk around, determined to find the cage, while Trixie follows her. Pebby is also such a smart piggie!
