Where Should I Keep My Guinea Pigs?

Ok, finally time to get your guinea pigs! You got their cage, hay, and the other supplies. And you're going to put the cage--actually, where are you going to keep your guinea pigs' cage? You could do the basement--but wait, that's too cold. How about you put them in your bedroom? Eh, that's not the best idea. So where are you going to keep your guinea pigs? Read this post to learn the pros and cons about every room in your house--and the best place to put your guinea pigs.

Basements, Garages and Attics:
Looks like this is a great place, right? Wrong. Basements are too cold. And sometimes basements might have leaks. Also there are more likely to be bugs in basements, and it will be very dark.
Guinea pigs cannot stay in garages, because cars emit fumes that are very bad for guinea pigs. Also it's too cold, there are lots of bugs, and it will be very dark.
Don't put guinea pigs in unfinished attics. It might be too hot. Also there might be too much direct sunlight. There will probably be bugs, too.

Bedrooms, Offices and Bathrooms:
Why not keep your guinea pig in your bedroom? You'll be able to see your guinea pig 24/7, you will be able to see your guinea pig every morning when you wake up, and every night before you go to sleep. Also, they will smell. Wait. What was that last one? Yes, guinea pigs smell bad. Really want your room to smell that way? Also, guinea pigs are quite loud. Might not be able to sleep much anymore.
Offices have mostly the same problems as listed above.
Bathrooms. Want to see your guinea pig every time you go in there? Probably not. Bathrooms are also quite small.

Kitchens, Living Rooms and Dining Rooms:
Kitchens... there is a lot of noise there. Also there are too many good smells. Your guinea pigs will be wheeking 24/7😁.
Believe or not, yes! You can keep your guinea pigs in the living room! But not near a window, because should not get direct sunlight.
We keep our guinea pigs in the dining room. Because we don't go there that much. We put them in a corner, near window that doesn't give much sunlight. Dining rooms work, if you want to keep your guinea pig there,

I hope you enjoyed this post, and that it was helpful to you! Please come back for more posts! Bye! 🐹😁
