Too Much Hay???

     All guinea pigs love hay. In fact, it's essential for their health. Hay has important nutrients and should be kept available for guinea pigs 24/7. But is there a such thing is too much hay? Am I giving my guinea pigs too much hay? Are you? Read on for more about hay, in this post.

    Guinea pigs need to eat hay! A lot of it is okay. And no, you can't feed your guinea pig too much hay, but you could be feeding your guinea pig too much of other things. About a fourth or third of a cup of pellets is okay per day. For veggies, give about a medium-sized bowlful every day. Half a cucumber and half a tomato works. Try and give your guinea pigs' food in halves. Unless you feed them 3 times a day, then feed them their food in thirds. Make sure water and hay are available to your piggies 24/7.
