Have A Happy Piggie Halloween!

Hello everyone! It's Halloween today! Even though you might be staying home instead of going trick or treating this year, it's still going to be a great one! Here are some tips to stay safe if you are going trick or treating and more tips if you want to do something special with your guinea pigs! Happy Halloween!

    Tips to stay safe:

  • Make sure you wear a mask
  • Wash your hands with soap and water as often as possible. You can also bring sanitizer with you
  • Try and stay six feet apart from anyone you meet
  • Make sure you follow your state's guidelines. If you don't know them, you can search up, "How will trick or treating work in my state this year?"

Tips to have a great Halloween with your guinea pigs:

  • THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO NOT DRESS YOUR GUINEA PIGS UP IN COSTUME. It is annoying, confusing, irritating, and worrying to them. You may find guinea pig costumes online, BUT DO NOT BUY THEM.
  • Did you know guinea pigs can eat pumpkin? Just take out the seeds for them. They will sure love it! Make sure not to give them too much as pumpkin is quite sugary.
  • You can cut your guinea pigs vegetables in a special way. You can cut designs in cucumbers to make them look scary or in green peppers or in any other guinea pig safe vegetable or fruit.
  • If you want, you can put some Halloween decorations near your guinea pigs cage. Do not put them in the cage, because your guinea pigs will surely chew on them. You can put them on the walls near your guinea pigs cage.

I hope you found this tips helpful and that you enjoyed this post! If you have more tips, share them in the comments. Happy Halloween! See you next time on Trisha's Guinea Pig Adventures!
